No organization has ever tried to learn the life of our suffering dogs in Hargeisa. Nobody knows how many dogs live in Hargeisa but the estimate is as many as thousands. There is no dog data available in the government offices, organizations. The absence of data in dogs contributes largely to why no organizations try to support them. That's why we are implementing our research. We believe once we are able to have clear data of these dogs, organizations and the government will step up to support them. The data we collect from dogs will serve as a baseline to supporting them in the future.
